They're much faster than your average point and shoot. Crisper images, etc.
If size is something that concerns you, the Olympus E-420 is a tidy little shooter.

But if you really want a point and shoot, go to your local shop and play a bit with the Canon G9/G10. Neither is great (or very good...) under low light, but they're quick enough, small enough, have enough features.&lt;br&gt;&lt;b&gt;References : &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
